About Me

Tiffany Houston, Yoga/Meditation teacher & Creator of livingood yoga
Private Yoga and Meditation Kensington San Diego

I was living in a world that was swallowing me whole; overwhelmed by the pressure of maintaining a sense of gratitude while running a business, being a mom to two babies and a wife to my husband, managing the household, all the things, and still trying to find time to squeeze in my self-care routine of exercise, yoga, and meditation that kept me a little bit sane. Finally, I snapped. I decided, once and for all, to leave my financial security behind, along with all the "things" I thought I enjoyed, to search for a life with deeper purpose and fulfillment.

For three years, my family and I lived among the abundance of nature and the intentionally aligned culture of Costa Rica, and we thrived on the opportunity to carve a new life for ourselves. For me, it's a life of freedom on my own terms, doing what I love and learning to flow with the ease and the resistance.

As I work diligently to find my truth and what lights me up, I have made the conscious choice to feel the discomfort of uncertainty, rather than drink or drug it away as I might have in the past. Celebrating eleven years of sobriety has gifted me with the coping mechanisms of moving through difficult feelings rather than around them, finding the transformational magic that lives within the discomfort.

I am on a mission to help others living in similar situations; supporting the process of seeking inward rather than externally to allow space for quiet time and stillness, to better access the messages that arise from within. I help people navigate the reality that letting go of control and learning to surrender to the present moment is the most challenging lesson we can face, but more valuable to our well-being than we could ever imagine.

Walking away from situations I knew no longer served my highest purpose, repeatedly, banking on faith, my life rocketed into a dimension I never thought possible. Where freedom from feeling trapped provides a different type of security. Rather than "should-ing" all over myself and caring about other people's opinions, I have learned how to listen and honor my needs, using my powerful intuition to guide my every decision with ease. NONE of this is easy. It is crippling at times, however, in my opinion, better than pretending.

I am honored to assist others in this journey of learning about their nervous system, and how it can guide them in navigating change, accessing inner connections, and working with the tools of meditation, yoga, and mindfulness to help them get there faster. Rooted in my personal experiences of overcoming some of life's greatest challenges, I support you in the transformative process of moving through discomfort and easing into the life you know you are ready to live.

“The reason you want every single thing that you want, is because you think you will feel really good when you get there.

But if you don’t feel really good on your way to there, you can’t get there. You have to be satisfied with what-is while you’re reaching for more.”

At a time when I was feeling a little lost, and alone, and having a habit of isolating myself, I was approached by Tiffany to join her Sister Circle. I had no idea what was in store for this journey in my life but I’m so grateful that I said yes. In the Sister Circle, the space was calm, serene, and welcoming surrounded by candlelight and a beautiful display of flowers and articles from Mother Nature. In this space, I felt welcomed, held, and loved. I was able to be vulnerable and open and tap into my authentic self. Tiffany gave tremendous feedback and support during our time in the circle, the kind of support that she gave was one of complete present listening and positive feedback and we were all able to cultivate a space of safety and love, and from that, we gathered our affirmations for the month. I will forever be grateful to Tiffany for opening up the space of sacred sisterhood, where I was able to come out of my shell and express my authentic self.

"Tiffany created such a beautiful container for diving deeper into my meditation practice and sharing all that comes up. I loved her meditations, recommendations, and advice. I looked forward to the live call each week and really enjoyed the companion meditations, videos, and journaling throughout the week between meetings. I highly recommend the course to anyone wishing to learn more about meditation and/or make meditation a consistent practice in their life. I also highly recommend Tiffany for personal coaching."

Tiffany provides a holistic approach to enhancing your yoga practice. Her one-on-one approach allowed me to get so much more from each session than I have in group classes. I’m a relative beginner to yoga and meditation, and Tiffany provide gentle instruction focused not only on what I was looking to get from each session but also at a level that was approx and approachable for me. I can’t recommend Tiffany enough, she is a gifted teacher in meditation and yoga.

I participated in a women’s circle at Tiffany’s place. It was my first time doing anything like this and had a wonderful experience. We decided on a mantra during the session. The ones we picked were very helpful for me in times of stress or pain. The place is beautiful and I felt so soothed just by being there. Tiffany is a good leader and provides a safe and soothing environment. I felt lucky to participate!
